Welcome to this family tree site

There is one big hic-cup in the information uploaded to this site - The Gedcom file uploaded all the family tree info - apart from the information contained in `Facts` in the family file. This contains all the important information gleened from Census, Birth/death records etc. So to be able to upload this information, I need to transfer the information to the `Notes` page on the family tree. I will be doing this over the next few years! It also gives me the chance to check out all information by family name and sort out any `funnies`. There are now notes for most of the PRIEST & MUNDEN entries.

Abbreviations used
 FNU - First Name Unknown
 LNU - Last Name Unknown
 MNU - Maiden Name Unknown

Researching the family tree was started by big sister Annie, to explain to her newly aquired American relatives, the family structure. Luckily, this was before Mum had her Stroke, so she was able to contribute a great deal to Annie`s research. I continued with the research after finding several Munden family bibles when we were clearing out Mum`s house. After saying `Annie, who`s so & so` and getting a `I don`t know` response, I decided we should know and so started hunting up information, mostly from Websites, Census and Parish Records held in Gosport library, plus fanastic help from `Knightroots` (Linda & Tony) who have transcribed a great amount of Hampshire Parish Records and are always willing to do a `lookup` on the other parish records they hold on fiche. They have also transcribed the burial records for Anns Hill Cemetary, Gosport where many of our rellies have ended up, and that helped to `put to bed` quite a few of them!

There are going to be plenty of errors in the material on this website, so please send me all corrections and any additions you want to add. All comments welcome in the Guest Book.

I`ve started uploading photos - so family members if you want a particular mugshot to appear, let me know (and I`ll need a copy) otherwise you will be `displayed` as my choice from the family photos I have!

PLEASE let me know what you think of the site.

There are 2 other websites with Newton/Hines/Munden etc etc family information - one compiled by Harry & Nicky Newton, which expands Nicky`s family and Steve Thompson`s which details the family from Meg Hines marriage to Robert Toone.
 See Links to access them.

Getting Around
There are several ways to browse the family tree. The Tree View graphically shows the relationship of selected person to their kin. The Family View shows the person you have selected in the center, with his/her photo on the left and notes on the right. Above are the father and mother and below are the children. The Ancestor Chart shows the person you have selected in the left, with the photograph above and children below. On the right are the parents, grandparents and great-grandparents. The Descendant Chart shows the person you have selected in the left, with the photograph and parents below. On the right are the children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Do you know who your second cousins are? Try the Kinship Relationships Tool. Your site can generate various Reports for each name in your family tree. You can select a name from the list on the top-right menu bar.

In addition to the charts and reports you have Photo Albums, the Events list and the Relationships tool. Family photographs are organized in the Photo Index. Each Album's photographs are accompanied by a caption. To enlarge a photograph just click on it. Keep up with the family birthdays and anniversaries in the Events list. Birthdays and Anniversaries of living persons are listed by month. Want to know how you are related to anybody ? Check out the Relationships tool.
